A SoCal beach cozy mystery
A beach, a bluff, and a body
Senior sleuth Rosie McMahon finds herself investigating a murder in idyllic Luna Beach. While the police uncover the victim’s origins, she and her journalist pal Lou do their own inquiring around town. Pursuing clues with her cat Hephaestus in tow and the help of a local eco-conscious teenager, Rosie discovers a mystery bigger than a dead tourist.
Set against the backdrop of a classic Southern California beach town and filled with quirky characters, Bummer at the Beach is a humorous cozy mystery to win the hearts of those who like their beach towns funky.
“Bummer at Luna Beach, this quiet peaceful little town is full of interesting characters, a murder mystery filled with plot twists, and OMG surprises. A must summer-read, I found it easy to read and it kept me on the edge of my seat as for what could possibly be next.” — 5tigger @ LibraryThing
“The initial plot twist really caught me so off-guard that I actually vocalised my surprise, which doesn’t happen often and I love it when it does. Very clever rueses are dropped in throughout with the intention of steering the reader away from the outcome. I think at one time or another, I suspected practically every character of the various misdemeanors and wrong doings. ” — Lindsey’s Literary Leanings
“Lisa M. Lane’s Bummer at Luna Beach is a delightful, ingenious, and satisfying mystery that offers unique twists, turns and outright jaw-dropping surprises.”
