This blog has its origin as an ancillary to my work in the Program for Online Teaching, which was founded at MiraCosta College in California as a branch of the Teaching Academy in 2006. At present the Program provides flex workshops and faculty-led discussion of the many elements of online teaching. Its original founders were Lisa M. Lane (me), Louisa Moon, Jill Malone, and Bea McWilliams.
I have been teaching online classes in history since 1998 at MiraCosta.
